Description
Valve tags help relay important pipe content information, valve identification or operation information at the point of need. Some stock valve tag options, like our brass valve tags and energy source tags, are available with preset legends.
Aluminum Valve Tags
Aluminum tags can protect employees from accidents, burns and unauthorized operation by using stock blanks to color code hazards. Blank aluminum tags can attach directly to valves, knobs and controls to relay critical identification and safety information helping identify pipe contents, valve instructions and other immediate unseen hazards. Our anodized aluminum tags are available in a variety of styles and custom options.
Brass Valve Tags
Our brass valve tags are made of 19 gauge cartridge brass (40 mils thick) and used for general purpose valve identification. They are available in standard 1.5″ and 2″ round and square styles. In addition to stock legends, customization options are available to help you use engraved brass tags for permanently labeling your facility’s pipes and valves.
Stainless Steel Valve Tags
Stainless steel and harsh environment (HEET) valve tags are designed to ID equipment in some of the harshest environments. They resist tearing, puncturing and extreme weather. Stainless steel valve tags can be ordered with custom legends engraved or as blanks to be engraved on the spot with your own engraver.
More specifically, HEET tags are larger, designed to contain more information, and have a separate clear cover for increased protection available for purchase separately.
Blank Plastic Valve Tags
Durable plastic tags are made from B-418 plastic that is lightweight, non-corrosive, non-conductive and impact resistant.

- Has rounded corners and has pre-punched holes
Polyester Tags
Polyester tags provide identification solutions for almost any environment. These polyester tags are available in a range of sizes, material grades, and pre-printed OSHA headers to meet application specific requirements.
Energy Source Tags
Energy source tags can be used to mark your facility’s points of control for energy sources. These tags help make the lockout process quicker, safer and easier. The energy source tags are made of plastic and available with color coded and alpha numeric options. A variety of pre-printed energy source tags are available or they can be customized to meet your specific application
